Days 1–7: establish the baseline. Record reporting delay, unreconciled balances and who owns each task.
Close checklist: bank, customers, suppliers, payroll, inventory and tax balances; preparer, reviewer and evidence.

Days 8–14: prioritise reconciliations and build a short-term cash view. Record issues and reviewers.
Meeting agenda: prior actions, cash outlook, results versus budget, material variances, risks, decisions and owners.

Days 15–21: agree the management pack and define a small set of indicators in the worksheet.
KPI definition: purpose, formula, source, owner, frequency, baseline and review date.

Days 22–30: hold a management review. Compare actuals with budget, record decisions, owners and review dates.
